Semi Senior Accountant

Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Semi Senior Accountant on behalf of an exciting start-up practice based in Cannock on a part-time, hybrid working basis. Reporting into the Managing Director and working as part of a small and friendly team, you will be responsible for working with and building strong and relationships with clients on a day-to-day basis and preparing financial statements in accordance with relevant financial reporting standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accounting schedules to support the balances and transactions included in the financial statements.
• Ensuring that jobs are completed within budget and on time
• Liaising with clients regularly including attending meetings to present and run through numbers and helping to resolve any queries
• Making recommendations in relation to accounting matters, financial reporting and accounting systems
• Assisting with bookkeeping and VAT returns

The ideal candidate will be AAT Qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ experience working in practice using Xero. You must have a fun and communicative nature whilst being on the ball and serious about your work. Experience dealing with property clients and preparing FRS1021A accounts would be desirable.

This is a part-time role (hours negotiable for the right candidate) based out of the office in Cannock with hybrid/flexible working available and the opportunity to be part of a young and growing practice!
