Financial Accountant

Alexander Daniels are working with a well known, privately owned Black Country business with an international presence who are continuing to outperform their competitors within their sector. The business has a fantastic client base including many household brand names that everyone will know. They are looking for a Financial Accountant to join their growing team. You will be reporting into the UK Financial Controller and be part of an experienced team.

The Financial Accountant will be responsible for:

• Production of monthly financial accounts pack for several trading subsidiaries
• Review work of property accountant’s/transaction teams and investigate any anomalies.
• Production of variance reports with commentary, capital expenditure reporting and bad debt review.
• Support the Group Financial Accountant with a variety of tasks and duties around month end
• Completion of monthly VAT returns.
• Production of cash forecasts.
• Quarterly bank reporting to include financial accounts
• Liaison with asset managers to ensure compliance with all banking consent requirements.
• Production of budget and revised budget at subsidiary level for inclusion at Group level and appropriate for distribution to lenders.
• Review of annual tax computation.
• Liaison with tax advisors to ensure timely and effective responses to HMRC enquiries.
• Assist in the management of the treasury, including foreign accounts
• Provide support to the wider team as required.

The successful Financial Accountant will have the following qualifications, skills and experience:

• ACA or ACCA qualified accountant
• Ideally you will be practiced trained and looking for that 1st move into industry or you are looking to make that next move in industry
• An audit background would be beneficial or experience in preparing statutory accounts for a range of clients, alongside a keen eye for detail.
• Ambitious and looking to join a organisation that will offer you career progression and personal development

Salary on offer for the Financial Accountant:

• £50,000 TO £55,000
