Are you an experienced finance professional seeking a new opportunity in a dynamic and fast-paced environment? Our client is looking for a Finance Technician (AR Lead) to join our Finance team. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the coordination of our financial performance, reporting, planning processes, and group consolidations.

Job Purpose: As the accounts assistant, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the production of timely, accurate, and relevant financial information. You will oversee all day-to-day finance, supporting the coordination of financial performance, reporting, planning processes, and group consolidations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all aspects of the sales ledger, including daily posting, customer records, credit limits, and sanctions checks.
  • Conduct credit and sanctions checks for new accounts and raise credit approval requests.
  • Reduce bad debt and late payments through the implementation of robust credit control procedures.
  • Take necessary actions, such as placing accounts on stop and progressing troublesome accounts to the litigation stage.
  • Handle month-end journals, prepayments, and accruals.
  • Ensure timely production of monthly accounts up to the Trial Balance for submission to the Financial Controller reporting requirements.
  • Complete AR audit deliverables/samples and analyze financial data to provide insights into stock variances, gross margin deviations, etc.
  • Support the FC in aspects of compliance with the Halma ICC/APC.
  • Collaborate with the Accounts Payable (AP) lead to ensure full cross-coverage within the department.
  • Provide finance support to other functional leads as required.

Skills / Experience:

  • Previous experience in a fast-paced finance environment.
  • AAT (Level 3) Qualified or equivalent.
  • Proficiency in transactional activities.
  • Advanced IT skills, including Sage 50, Power BI, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to work to strict deadlines.
