Financial Controller- 12 month FTC

Alexander Daniels are working to recruit a strong financial controller. Working for an exceptional director, the Financial Controller role is being recruited on a 12 month FTC to cover maternity leave.

Joining an established and highly competent team, this role will be responsible for the day to day management of the finance team

Duties will include;

• To provide comprehensive financial oversight to the group ensuring accurate and timely reporting .
• To identify and manage financial risks impacting group stability and implement risk mitigation strategies in collaboration with stakeholders.
• To establish and maintain financial procedures for the group and to monitor and control conformity across the businesses to those policies and procedures.
• To streamline financial processes and implement best practices by collaborating across the group to drive process improvements.
• To develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the group’s objectives, balancing short-term financial objectives with the long-term sustainability and growth of the business.
• To provide commercial oversight, supporting negotiation of terms with suppliers, clients, and partners to achieve favourable financial outcomes for the business.
• To provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making for the group.
• To take overall responsibility for audit delivery and statutory obligations.
• To manage treasury policy and oversee company cash flows.
• To present financial updates and strategies to key stakeholders.
• To effectively communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
• To attend and contribute to Board Meetings at strategic and tactical level.
• To oversee the annual budgeting and ongoing forecasting processes and monitor business performance against these targets, proposing adjustments where necessary.

This is a well-rounded and interesting controller position with both technical and commercial elements.

The successful candidate will be qualified with a proven track record of management and financial accounts along with managing a team and relationships.
