Job Description

On behalf of one of our retail clients in Kidderminster, we’re looking to appoint a Bookkeeper/ Accounts Manager on a full-time, permanent basis.

Reporting into the managing director, the successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the company’s financial books on purchase ledger, sales ledger and payroll.

Some of the main duties include:

  • Overseeing the end-to-end purchase ledger process including processing invoices, statement reconciliation and processing all payments.
  • Overseeing the end-to-end sales ledger process including setting up new clients, producing invoices, and chasing outstanding debt.
  • Performing some payroll duties.
  • Balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register.
  • Ensure all tax returns are accurate.
  • Other ad-hoc duties such as assisting with month end preparation.

The successful candidate should be comfortable working independently to oversee all transactions and assist the finance team with other duties. Candidates who have completed or nearing completion of their AAT qualification will be ideal for this role.
