Job Description

Alexander Daniels are recruiting for a purchase ledger assistant to join an established finance team. You will need to have excellent understanding of the full purchase ledger process. On offer is a flexible hybrid contract where you split your week either in the office based in Warwick or at home.

Key Responsibilities,

  • Invoices are posted accurately and on a timely basis
  • Raising supplier payments and weekly supplier bacs runs
  • Identifying and investigating supplier reconciliation queries to ensure ledgers are accurate
  • All queries from suppliers and colleagues are resolved efficiently and effectively
  • Ensure that new supplier forms are prepared accurately
  • Pro active approach to problems and adapt to change quickly
  • Understanding of VAT
  • Assisting analysis of processes an suggest improvements

Skills and Experience,

  • Able to self-manage in delivering deadlines, setting own goals and being proactive in seeking and driving improvements to own and team performance
  • Excellent skills in Excel, including pivots and vlookups
  • Exceptional organisational and time management skills, with the ability to work quickly and accurately across a number of projects and activities
  • Ability to work as part of a small team and independently
  • Experience of working with accounting systems (SAP experience preferential) and in an accounts payable environment
