Interim Systems Accountant

Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for an Interim Systems Accountant on behalf of a well-established construction business based in Staffordshire for a minimum 12 month period with a view to starting immediately. Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for managing the transition between a legacy system and the new, implementing new and robust reporting structures and procedures whilst being involved in the day-to-day management accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• Training and mentoring the team through the transition between systems and ensuring compliance with new reporting structures and procedures, driving operational efficiency
• Setting and monitoring KPI’s
• Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture
• Production of forecasts to model outcomes of financial strategies
• Business partnering with a variety of stakeholders both internally and externally to implement policies and procedures, building long-lasting relationships for the finance team
• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal control policies implementing and monitoring said controls
• Supporting the audit process
• Oversee financial processes, including preparation of reports
• Collaborate with other stakeholders to develop dashboards to deliver meaningful insights

This role would suit a part-qualified or qualified-by-experience Accountant with strong leadership and communication skills with experience leading systems/reporting/procedures implementations, specifically NAV to BC365 ERP and Power BI. You must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence positive change and a high level of commercial acumen.
