Accounts Payable Manager

Alexander Daniels are working with a well-established business who are looking to recruit an Accounts Payable Manager on a full time, permanent basis in Birmingham. This opportunity would suit someone with strong people management skills and experience leading the Accounts Payable function for a fast paced business.

Key responsibilities:

• Oversee the daily operations of the accounts payable department ensuring that invoices are processed accurately and payments are made within the agreed payment terms.
• Lead, mentor and support a team of accounts payable clerks as well as the back office team.
• Identify opportunities to streamline the accounts payable function to optimise efficiency.
• Produce and present accounts payable related reports for Senior Management.
• Control of cash flows to ensure effective cash flow forecasting and reporting.
• Maintain strong partnerships with vendors and ensuring queries are resolved on a timely basis.

Essential requirements:

• 5 years experience within Accounts Payable.
• 3 years experience managing an Accounts Payable team.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Experience in a fast paced business with a high volume of invoice processing.
• Able to liaise with and influence colleagues at all levels of the business.
