Financial Controller – Manufacturing | £70,000-£75,000 | West Midlands | On-Site / Hybrid

Alexander Daniels is partnering with a well-established and growing SME manufacturing business who are looking to appoint an experienced Financial Controller to help them on the next chapter of their growth journey.

This is a pivotal role that sits as part of the Senior Leadership Team and at the heart of day-to-day operations and strategic decision-making. Working closely with the Managing Director, Operations Director & Sales Director, you’ll drive financial performance, support future growth plans, and play a crucial role in scaling the business through a buy and build strategy.

The Financial Controllers key responsibilities will include:
* Full ownership of the finance function: month-end, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, reporting.
* Work closely with operational teams to improve costing, margins, and efficiency.
* Support strategic planning and commercial analysis for new opportunities and investments.
* Play a key role in M&A activity, including due diligence, integration, and financial modelling.
* Ensure robust financial controls and regulatory compliance.
* Present financial insights to senior stakeholders and the board.

What will you need to have to be successful in this position?
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a manufacturing, construction or industrial environment.
* Strong commercial acumen – comfortable analysing performance, pricing, and operational KPIs.
* Hands-on approach with the confidence to get into the detail while contributing at board level.
* Involvement in M&A, investment analysis or similar strategic projects is highly desirable.
* ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
* Strong leadership and management skills
