Accounts Senior/Semi Senior

Our client is a modern accountancy practice, currently seeking a practice accountant to join their close-knit team in Stafford.

Role: Accounts Semi-Senior/Accounts Senior

Location: Stafford (Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home)

Salary: Up to £40K depending on experience

Responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships
• Self-assessment tax returns
• Corporation tax returns
• VAT returns
• Bookkeeping
• Monthly management accounts
• Tax advisory to companies and individuals
• Providing training assistance to junior members of the team
• Dealing with day-to-day client queries
• Managing a portfolio of clients

Requirements:

• ACCA/ACA qualified or part qualified (QBE may be considered)
• 3 years of experience working in a practice
• Audit experience (desirable)
• Sound knowledge of Xero, QuickBooks, Sage and Excel
• Ability to work under pressure
• Excellent IT skills
• Good communication skills
