Commercial Finance Manager

Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Commercial Finance Manager on behalf of a growing professional services business based in Nottingham on a full-time, permanent basis.

About the Role: This is an opportunity for a commercially minded finance professional to collaborate with senior stakeholders and influence strategic decision-making. The successful candidate will deliver insightful financial analysis, support business planning, and drive commercial success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide detailed financial reporting, analysis, and commentary for board packs.
• Present financial insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
• Prepare and deliver business plans, forecasts, and performance analysis.
• Identify underperforming areas and implement improvement strategies.
• Assess investment opportunities to ensure ROI aligns with business objectives.
• Coach and support business units in financial management best practices.
• Collaborate with central finance teams to ensure financial efficiency.
• Support due diligence for M&A activity and integration.
• Develop financial models and scenario planning to support strategic initiatives.

About You:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
• Proven experience in a commercial finance role, ideally within an SME or start-up.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to develop financial models.
• Strong interpersonal skills to engage and influence senior stakeholders.
• Commercially astute, proactive, and able to work across multiple priorities.
• Comfortable operating in a fast-paced and evolving business environment.

This role is based in Nottingham with occasional travel to other business hubs in the Midlands.
