Credit Controller – Permanent Opportunity – Up to £28,000 + Bonus

Coventry – Hybrid Working (2-3 days in office)

We’re supporting a respected and growing organisation in Coventry that’s looking for a confident and proactive Credit Controller to join their finance team. What You’ll Be Doing:

• Managing your own ledger and ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt
• Building strong relationships with customers to resolve queries and encourage prompt payment
• Monitoring aged debt, identifying risks, and escalating issues where appropriate
• Allocating cash accurately and maintaining up‑to‑date account records
• Working closely with internal teams to resolve discrepancies and support smooth billing processes
• Preparing statements, chasing schedules, and supporting month‑end reporting
• Assisting with credit checks, account setup, and ongoing customer account maintenance
• Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the credit control function

What We’re Looking For:

• 2+ years’ experience in credit control
• Strong understanding of credit control processes and best practice
• Excellent communication skills with a confident, professional approach
• Highly organised, detail‑driven, and comfortable working to deadlines
• Strong IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and finance systems
• A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset with the ability to handle sensitive conversations
• Someone who is positive, resilient, and committed to delivering great service
• CICM or AAT or similar qualifications are beneficial but not essential
