Job Description

Alexander Daniels are recruiting for a Finance Analyst for a business based in South of Birmingham. This role offers great exposure in a growing business, working closely with the Head of FP&A you will gain invaluable experience and the opportunity to further your career.
Key responsibilities:
  • Develop and sustain advanced cost models to aid in decision-making processes and strategic initiatives.
  • Work closely with the Business Development Executive and Sales Teams to deliver timely and accurate cost insights during the pre-sales phase.
  • Create detailed and comprehensive commercial models to assess the financial viability of potential contracts and services.
  • Estimate costs for proposed services, taking into account factors such as labor, materials, overhead, and other relevant expenses.
  • Identify and assess potential risks related to cost elements, providing recommendations to mitigate financial risks and enhance profitability.
  • Research and analyze competitor pricing strategies to ensure the company remains competitive while maintaining profitability.
  • Ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data used in cost analysis by collaborating with relevant departments to gather and verify information.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost optimization and efficiency improvements within contracted services.
  • Prepare and present clear, concise, and data-driven reports to key stakeholders to facilitate informed decision-making.
Skills and experience:
  • Demonstrate strong analytical skills to assess complex financial data, identify trends, and offer insightful recommendations for cost optimization.
  • Show meticulous attention to detail in preparing commercial models, ensuring accuracy and precision in cost estimates and financial analyses. Experience in cost modeling, financial analysis, or a similar role is essential.
  • Collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams, working with Business Development Executives and Sales Teams to provide valuable pre- and post-sales support.
  • Possess excellent communication skills to explain complex financial concepts clearly and concisely, ensuring effective communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excel in a dynamic business environment, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines while maintaining a focus on delivering high-quality and timely financial analyses.
