Finance Business Partner

Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for an experienced and commercially minded Management Accountant on behalf of a large retail organisation based in Wolverhampton on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting into the Financial Controller, the Management Accountant will be reponsible for the production of month end management accounts and day-to-day duties including being the go-to finance contact and providing financial support across departments.

Key responsibilities:

• Production of period end management accounts for various departments
• Month end
• Business partnering with Heads of departments, providing hands on financial support aiding strategic direction
• Variance analysis on actuals vs delivery
• Budget and forecasting support
• Support with R&D tax relief projects
• Ad hoc support to colleagues in the finance department

The ideal candidate will be minimum AAT Qualified and/or studying towards a recognised accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent) with at least 3 years’ experience of production of period-end reporting deliverables in a fast-paced Finance department and maintaining a tangible fixed asset register. Strong technical understanding of FRS 102 and understanding of UK Corporation Tax R&D credit relief would be desirable along with advanced level of competence on Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, macros).
