Finance Manager – 6 Month Interim

Alexander Daniels are recruiting for a Finance Manager on 3-6 month contract for a manufacturing business based in Birmingham. This role requires you to supervise a small transactional team and complete management accounts and analysis in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management accounts to provide insights into financial performance.
• Assist accountants in the preparation of yearly accounts, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
• Check and file quarterly VAT returns to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Develop monthly financial statements, including cash flow, profit & loss, and budget reports.
• Conduct daily reconciliation of multiple accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Develop and maintain an accurate forecast budget for income and expenditure.
• Set up and maintain professional standards in record-keeping, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and compliance.
• Generate ad hoc reports as required, providing valuable financial insights to support decision-making.
• Actively participate in budget management and reporting, contributing to the financial planning process.

Essential requirements:

• Professional Qualification ACCA/CIMA or QBE.
• Must have Manufacturing experience
• Minimum of 5 years working within a similar role
• Must be able to commit to the contract duration
• Excellent Excel skills
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and standards

This is an office based role and would require you to commute reliably to Birmingham.
