Finance Manager

Alexander Daniels is recruiting for a Finance Manager to lead the finance operations of a growing business. This role is pivotal in ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining robust financial records, and upholding compliance with internal controls and policies. You’ll also manage and develop a high-performing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Accounts Payable team, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
• Oversee the reconciliation and review of accounts
• Accurate input of client budgets
• Allocate and monitor workloads, ensuring deadlines are met and high standards are maintained.
• Develop team training plans and conduct regular performance reviews.
• Foster a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
• Oversee supplier invoice processing and payment runs.
• Ensure supplier reconciliations and aged creditor reports are accurate and up to date.
• Support audit processes and maintain accurate documentation.
• Maintain and update internal systems and accounting software with accurate site data.
• Ensure all financial activity complies with internal controls and finance policies.
• Provide regular financial reports to the Head of Finance, including weekly debtor data and monthly accruals.
• Identify and propose improvements to financial systems and workflows (subject to approval).

You will need

• Proven experience in financial management and team leadership.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and financial reporting.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
