Financial Controller – Wembley – £60,000 to £70,000 + benefits

Alexander Daniels have been exclusively retained by a market leading technology business based in Wembley, London, to help recruit an experienced Financial Controller. This senior position is a key role for our client’s finance team, and it is imperative we get an experience Financial Controller for them who can bring fresh ideas to the senior leadership team.

The Financial Controller will report into the Group Financial Controller and your responsibilities will include overseeing end-to-end finance operations, financial planning and analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, improve procedures and controls, as well as contributing to ad-hoc projects.

As Financial Controller you will work closely with various business leads providing a business partnering function and duties will include:

• Providing financial information and commentary, KPI review meetings, and challenge to the local financials.
• Preparation of monthly management accounts with supporting balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with group reporting timelines.
• Monthly analysis of variances against budget.
• Preparation of annual financial statements according to IFRS.
• Produce cashflow forecasts.
• Responsibility for the processing of payment transactions and account management.
• Develop and maintain financial controls, systems and risk management procedures ensuring compliance with the group control framework.
• Planning and implementation of internal projects.
• Quarterly travel to European sites

The successful Financial Controller will have the following qualities:

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working in a financial position, including relevant industry experience.
• Up-to-date advanced knowledge of IFRS.
• Excellent analytical and decision making skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, with experience in managing teams.
• Highly IT literate, with an ability to learn new software quickly.
• German and French language skills desirable but not essential.

The successful Financial Controller will be renumerated as follows:

• £60,000 to £70,000 per annum depending on experience
