P2P Manager

Alexander Daniels are working with an a business based in Coventry who are looking to recruit a P2P Manager to oversee the end-to-end procure-to-pay process. In this role you will be responsible for ensuring efficient procurement, accurate invoice processing, timely payments, and compliance with company policies. The role focuses on optimising procurement operations, enhancing vendor relationships, streamlining work flows, and driving continuous process improvements.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise the full P2P cycle including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, invoice verification, and payments.
• Lead a team of P2P analysts, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
• Develop and implement procurement and payment policies to ensure compliance with financial regulations and company standards.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as procurement, finance, and operations to align processes with business objectives.
• Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
• Monitor vendor performance, resolve disputes, and maintain positive supplier relationships.
• Oversee vendor data management ensuring accuracy and up-to-date records in ERP systems.
• Manage budget controls, spend analysis, and reporting on key procurement metrics and KPIs.
• Ensure timely reconciliation of accounts and supplier statement matching.
• Support audit processes and provide documentation related to procurement activities.

Requirements:

• At least 3-5 years experience in procure-to-pay operations.
• Leadership and people management experience.
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
• Strong understanding of procurement, accounts payable, and financial controls.
• Experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating contract terms.
• Knowledge of regulatory requirements and compliance in procurement and finance.
