European Sales Director: E-Mobility

Our Client is an expert in the innovation and supply of Engineering services. Having been acquired by a cash rich, Global business, who have a very impressive international presence already, the business is now looking to advance in new core markets. E-Mobility, is an area in which they wish to further establish… With exceptionally high performing products our client is entering the market with confidence. They are looking to target the very lucrative Automotive and LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle) market. They are now about to sign off a long-term, lucrative partnership with a key player, and this now means there is time to grow and hunt for more.

They have a long list of USPs, which we know will only continue to grow with the development and enhanced R and D the recent acquisition will bring. The business now requires a seasoned and experienced Sales Management professional to help set up and execute the commercial sales strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Report into the Global Senior Management and Board on all sales and commercial strategies
• Refine and implement the sales and business development strategy for regional area
• Become first point of contact for the region concerning all commercial enquiries, be an avid brand ambassador for the business
• Determine and actively purse sales leads with Leading Tier 1 Automotive manufacturers
• Focus on new client acquisition: identify and close new sales opportunities and client partnerships
• Develop and maintain prosperous relationships with strategic accounts, particularly with key technical partners and stakeholders of interest within the business
• Deliver technical and commercial sales presentations to a range of multi-levels clients
• Partake and support in the sales forecasting
• Conduct sales evaluation processes to ensure targets are meet accordingly, and to implement corrective measures when required
• Collate product feedback and market analysis from clients and business partners for business planning
• Keep abreast of industry’s technological developments and competitive market trends for business planning
• Work in collaboration with the product marketing teams to refine and improve the company product portfolio
• Provide guidance and market insight for the benefit of marketing and product strategy
• Support and be present at trade shows and exhibitions

Key skills and attributes required:
• A strong academic background in a highly technical discipline such as: Automotive, Electrical Engineering, Power, Energy & Renewables
• Direct and proven experience in sales and business management in a rapid growth environment
• Direct experience and contacts with Automotive OEM’s
• A proven track record of sales, growing market share, and closing business opportunities
• Strong knowledge energy, battery or ESS technology
• Have a great technical aptitude, the ability to convey advanced and complex technicalities of company products to clients of interest
• Key account management skills: ability to maintain positive existing accounts and establish new accounts
• Possess a client -centric approach, provide first class customer service
• Excellent communication skills across multi levels of seniority and disciplines
• Ambitious and entrepreneurial in nature
• Proactive and hands-on sales professional, hungry for development
• Internationally orientated, experience working for a global organisation preferred

This is an executive role, offering a very impressive basic salary, bonus scheme and Long-term stock options. You will also can build a team of senior people alongside you.
