My client is a World-leading design, development and manufacturing organisation is looking for an experienced Financial Controller to join on what is going to be a very exciting journey. They are a global business well placed to support on local, national and international basis. They are committed to working alongside partners to reduce their carbon footprint and environmental impact across their supply chains.

The Financial Controller will be reporting to the Finance Director, managing the day-to-day financial operations for the business. The Financial Controller will be leading the finance team in developing, streamlining, documenting and embedding financial processes into the business.

The Financial Controllers Key Responsibilities will include:
Production of management information including consolidated monthly management accounts and rolling 13-week cash flow forecasts
Production and maintenance of project accounts and financial reporting in line with project revenue models and accounting standards
Supporting the FD with preparation of Forecasts and Budgets
Providing overhead variance analysis and improving forecasting and budgeting models
Designing and producing dashboards for operational management
Forecasting and execution of foreign currency hedging and bank guarantees
Management and development of the finance team as well as finance processes
Drive consistency and predictability in monthly, quarter-end and year-end financial reporting
Share best practice for business/functional support, financial reporting and accounting procedures

The successful Financial Controller will be:
Fully qualified accounts (ACA, ACCA, ACMA) ideally with experience managing a finance team within a project construction, manufacturing or engineering sector
Practical “hands on” approach and used to working with small teams in a fast-moving SME business environment.
Strong and confident communicator with ability to translate data “finance to non-finance”
Ability to work simultaneously on various projects and deliver tailored results for each
Advanced MS Excel skills for analysis and financial modelling. Experience of Sage systems for record-keeping and reporting
Experience of system implementation and international growth will be a distinct advantage
