Our client is an innovative OEM start-up in the Northeast that is seeking to expand their operations with a Vice President of Business Development. This person will be very hands on in both sales and business development with new and existing clients. A professional with a strong background in identifying leads and securing new business as well as growing current accounts. At this point, the sales will be focused on the sales of AM printed parts using their proprietary hardware and materials.

If your background is in additive manufacturing sales and business development in the area of advanced plastics, injection molding, tooling, jigs & fixtures this may be the right opportunity for you. This position requires a technical application sales approach and experience in the industrial space.

This is a remote position; preference to those residing in the Midwest or East Coast living in close proximity to a major airport. Sponsorship is not available for this position.


The role will be responsible for leading complex aspects of business development projects, including sourcing, strategic context, market evaluation, and transactions in partnership with the technical/content experts.

Duties and Responsibilities

Oversee the formation of business partnerships and negotiation of contracts
Lead the client’s planning and execution of strategy to increase customers and sales
Maintain meaningful relationships with existing customers
Attend conferences, meetings, and industry events
Responsible for sales forecasting, planning and budgeting ensuring they are appropriately integrated with other planning processes employed within the company
Business modeling to ensure that the right customers for the client are targeted from an engineering, business, operations, and strategic perspective
After identifying the right partners, own the process of moving those partner relationships from initial contact through development of the appropriate relationships throughout the partner organization
Negotiate and close strategic partnerships, integrating the client’s leadership team as needed throughout the process
Interface with the client’s product management to capture customer requirements and work with Engineering, Operations, and other teams to aid in product and support development


Minimum of 7 years of relevant business development and/or start-up experience in market development and go-to-market strategies from early stage incubation to scaling to potentially large business segments.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience selling within the Additive Manufacturing market in hardware and/or production parts
