Job Description

Alexander Daniels is recruiting a Management Accountant for a newly formed business based in Telford. This business is going from strength to strength and is looking to hire an experienced all-rounder to join the finance team and support the Finance Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Control & responsibility for the Purchase Ledger
  • Processing invoices and ensuring all are validated
  • Payment planning
  • Supplier reconciliation
  • Tasked with improving delivery deadlines
  • Tasked with improving the accuracy of records
  • Control & responsibility for payroll processing of multiple Companies
  • Submissions to HMRC
  • Control & responsibility for verifying, recording & paying expenses
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Raising payment instructions
  • Cash postings to Sage
  • VAT reconciliation
  • Preparation under supervision of multiple returns
  • Tasked with improving VAT recovery, e.g., expenses, petty cash, etc.
  • Spend Analysis during the installation process
  • Establishing & improving system processes
  • Assisting with the production of monthly management accounts
  • Some supervisory responsibilities of an administrator

Essential Requirements

  • A positive attitude towards your responsibilities and the company
  • Is a driven individual willing to learn new tasks
  • A keen interest in establishing new procedures or improving existing ones
  • Experience in some or all of the main duties
  • IT literate and keen to utilize technology
  • Purchase ledger experience
  • Payroll processing
  • Minimum 3 years within the manufacturing sector
  • Sage 50 (albeit this may change)
  • AAT or similar

This role is an office-based role, 5 days a week. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and a proven track record of implementing new processes.
