Job Description

Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for an experienced Accounts Assistant on behalf of a well-established engineering and manufacturing business, based in Wolverhampton on a permanent basis. Reporting into Accounting Manager, you will be responsible for owning and maintaining the purchase ledger, updating the cash book, assisting with orders and invoice requirements, and logging expenses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance in the compilation and maintenance of the financial records
  • Ownership and maintenance of purchase ledger
  • Generating purchase ledger payment run
  • Update of cash book transactions from bank statements
  • Cover for GRNI report
  • Assist with orders and invoice requirements

The ideal candidate will be confident using computer accounting software systems, will have great interpersonal skills and will be confident using MS Excel.

This is a permanent position based on-site in Wolverhampton (hybrid working will be on offer depending on performance).
