Financial Accountant – 9 Month FTC (Fully Remote)

Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Financial Accountant for a 9 month fixed term contract working on 100% remote working basis for a well-known charitable organisation with a view to starting immediately. Supporting the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for assisting with:

• Preparation of the annual reports
• Statutory and VAT returns
• Group consolidation
• Overseeing the monthly accounting processes
• Year end and external audit requirements
• Corporation tax – analysis and reporting
• Complying with internal and external legislation and procedures
• Identifying and making recommendations for process improvement.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced part-qualified (ACCA/CIMA/ACA/CCAB or equivalent experience) Accountant looking for a new opportunity within a large organisation. You will need experience in the production of consolidated Statutory Accounts and dealing with external audit requirements, with an up to date knowledge of general
accounting principles and the ability to interpret and apply legislation to the business. You will be proactive and able to learn, review and develop internal processes and procedures, continuously looking to improve the services and outputs delivered by the team as well as enforcing compliance. You will have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, able to understand a wide range of stakeholder needs and adapt where necessary.

This is a fully remote, 9 month fixed term contract with an immediate start available. Only candidates available on a short notice period (max 1-2 weeks) will be considered and you must be prepared to commit to the full length of the assignment. A longer term role may be available for the perfect candidate.
