Interim Management Accountant

Alexander Daniels are recruiting for an Interim Management Accountant for a large distribution business based in Wolverhampton on a full-time basis for 9-12 months covering maternity leave. This business is well-established within their market, offers hybrid working, and a progressive working environment whilst retaining a family feel. A longer term role may be available for the perfect candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supporting month end process, including processing journals and investigating variances and discrepancies
• Manage monthly balance sheet reconciliation process
• Perform monthly Bank Reconciliations
• Intercompany Reconciliations
• Production of monthly Management Accounts pack
• Complete monthly accruals and prepayments
• Ensure that all transactions are coded to the correct G/L account, Department, and other relevant Dimensions
• Maintain the Fixed Asset Register
• Complete VAT and ONS returns
• Manage supplier payment process
• Assist with the year-end audit
• Assist with various process improvements throughout the business
• Support with any further ad-hoc reporting and analysis

The ideal candidate must have previous experience in a similar role leading the month end process within a large fast-paced business. Advanced Excel and data analysis skills are essential
