Job Description

Alexander Daniels are recruiting for an experienced Accounts & Admin assistant to join a business based in Derby on a full time, permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast paced team in a growing business. Reporting into the Finance manager, you will be responsible for a variety of accounts and administrative tasks.

Daily tasks will include:

  • Maintaining the Sales and Purchase Ledger.
  • Reconciling supplier statements.
  • Issuing customer statements.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Credit Control to ensure timely payments.
  • Preparing and posting journals.
  • Collecting timesheets for payroll.
  • Additional ad hoc tasks.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 2 years experience in similar role.
  • Knowledge of Sage Accounts 50 and Progress Plus.
  • Strong communication skills and good telephone manner.
  • Ability to prioritise and plan workload.

The successful candidate will be joining a friendly, established business and will benefit from a competitive salary up to £26,000 – £28,000 per annum DOE, 25 days holiday + bank holidays, company pension scheme and free onsite parking.
