Finance Manager

Alexander Daniels are recruiting for a Finance Manager on behalf of a growing business that continues to go from strength to strength. This is a small friendly, supportive team seeking a hands on Finance Manager who can confidently oversee and manage the day-to-day finance operations.

You’ll be responsible for the full financial function, ensuring everything runs smoothly, accurately, and in line with best practice. It’s a practical, involved position where you’ll manage the day‑to‑day tasks while also providing clear financial insight to support the wider business.

Responsibilities;

• Overseeing all aspects of company finance
• Managing bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
• Preparing regular financial reports
• Completing VAT returns and ensuring compliance
• Managing cashflow and supporting financial planning
• Working closely with external accountants and HMRC
• Developing and maintaining simple, effective finance processes
• Acting as the main point of contact for finance queries across the team
• Payroll experience (not essential)

What We’re Looking For;

• Strong understanding of bookkeeping, VAT, and financial reporting
• Confident with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Highly organised, reliable, and comfortable working independently
