Senior Financial Accountant – Manufacturing – Telford

A leading manufacturing business and a trusted partner across industries, is looking to hire a Senior Financial Accountant to join a well established finance team. Our client is a market leader and experience substantial growth in challenging times.

Are you an ambitious accountant looking for a clear path to becoming an FC in the future? This Senior Financial Accountant role is a fantastic opportunity to step into a broad, hands-on finance role within a dynamic manufacturing business. Described as a ‘mini FC’ position, this role offers exposure across all aspects of finance while overseeing a small, yet experienced, finance team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Leading the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reporting
• VAT, tax accounting
• Owning financial controls and ensuring compliance across the group
• Overseeing a team managing general ledgers and core finance processes
• Partnering with senior stakeholders to drive financial performance
• Act as a key member of the Finance team, lead, motivate and inspire the junior team to reach the next level of performance.
• Monitoring and ensuring all tasks to be completed in a timely manner and people are accountable for the work performed to high standards.
• Provide operational support to the finance team and wider business.

What We’re Looking For:

• ACA/ACCA qualified, ideally with a background in practice and with minimum of 3 years industry experience
• Experience in financial reporting, controls, and management accounts
• Ambition to progress towards an FC or FD role in the future
• Strong technical accounting knowledge with a commercial mindset
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to present complex financial data in a clear and relevant way.
• Experience in optimising finance processes to improve efficiency and controls
• Strong interpersonal skills, with an ability to influence and challenge others.
• Resilient, and able to cope with high levels of change.

What is on offer for the successful Senior Financial Accountant?

• Salary is dependant on experience and will range from £55,000 to £65,000
