Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Location: Solihull (2 days per week, 3 days from home)
Package: £60,000 plus bonus, pension, BUPA

Financial Planning & Analysis Manager required for a superb £250m group based in Solihull, West Midlands. This is a hybrid role with 2 days/week in the office and the rest working from home. This excellent service-based group has gone through considerable growth and transformation over the past 3 years and is now arriving at its planned sophisticated finance team structure, of which this will be a pivotal role.

As the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing a team of management accountants, whilst you focus on the UK group’s more FP&A-aligned activities. Your duties will include:

• Direct line management of several qualified Management Accountants
• Production of monthly and quarterly consolidated month end reports for submission to parent group
• Production of 3-year business plans, including budget and reporting on variation from budget
• Creation of monthly cash flow forecasts, analysis and reforecasting as appropriate
• Developing into a subject matter expert for business performance, and analysing models to increase profitability
• Development of project business cases with financial analysis as required
• Production of financial tools to allow scenario modelling, assessing impact on profitability
• Working with the Head of Management Accounts to communicate P&L information and its impact on cash flow
• Continuous development of financial models, data analysis tools and financial systems to support the team
• Working on other ad hoc projects as required by the Group Financial Controller and Head of Commercial Finance

The ideal candidate for this position will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACMA or ACCA), ideally with strong experience in large SME or group service businesses. You’ll need to be confident working on multiple financial systems, and a demonstrable track record of developing financial models would be advantageous.

You do not need to have managed previously, we are happy for someone to move into this role who wants to progress into team management.
