Job Description

Alexander Daniels has been engaged with a market-leading manufacturing business based in Telford to help them recruit an experienced Financial Controller.

My client has a requirement currently, for a part-time Financial Controller but they would also consider full-time for the right individual. The Financial Controller will be reporting to the Chairman and required to manage the small team on-site in Telford amongst various other duties including IT.
 
The Financial Controllers duties will include:

  • Preparing monthly financial statements and associated Board Information Pack
  • Month-end journal preparation and reconciliations
  • Updating rolling cashflow and working capital management
  • Ad-hoc support with year-end statutory accounts and tax preparation
  • Finance admin support where required to include invoicing & credit control
  • Introduce new variance reporting for cross-functional operational purposes
  • Support of the annual budgeting process
  • Mentoring other members of the finance team for personal development and growth
  • Support of the new ERP system integration during 2022

 
The successful Financial Controller will have the following skills, qualifications and experience:

  • Must be CIMA qualified
  • Have experience with invoice discounting schemes
  • Have attention to detail
  • Work to tight deadlines at month end
  • Possess good communication and presentation skills
  • Possess good analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Have a sound business understanding
  • Be able to work well as part of a team

 
The salary on offer is between £45,000 to £55,000 depending on experience and will be pro-rata for anyone looking part-time.
