Our Client

Looking for an experienced, hands-on Financial Controller to help them continue to move forward and help with the new business strategy.

The Role

The Financial Controller will play a central role in driving growth and working to ensure the maintenance of effective financial controls and compliance across the organisation, providing accurate and timely management information to support strategic decision-making. The Financial Controller will play a vital role in the continued success of the business as a key business partner to the senior management team.

Key duties will include:

• Providing influence and guidance to finance team and operating businesses to maximise commercial success / identify synergies / cost-saving opportunities
• Consolidating Group companies manage information with synopsis and insight for Board review
• Monitoring and driving the financial progress of the business through timely and relevant financial reporting
• Managing liquidity and cash flow
• Reviewing and improving KPIs for areas of the business to improve the quality and relevance of management information and ultimately to drive performance improvement with input to internal systems in accounts & operations
• Overseeing and improving financial controls and processes across functions and business units
• Oversee and coordinate annual accounting and other financial audits
• Overseeing the production of budgets and financial reporting, including monthly/ quarterly/ audited P&L and balance sheet reports
• You will excel in building effective working relationships, provide support to key company initiatives such as system development and performance analysis

 
Key skills, experience, and qualifications:

• A hands-on individual who is able to get in to the detail but also knows how to prioritise and get things done.
• You will be ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with a demonstrable track record of success in a senior finance role in a similar SME organisation.
• In addition to being a high-performing, self-starting, individual you will have the ability to act as a business partner providing strategic, analytical, and business support
• Be a commercially orientated financial leader with a business-enabling mind-set and positive attitude
• You will possess strong IT skills with experience of working with ERP systems
