Commercial Accountant

Commercial Accountant required for a leading manufacturing business based in Redditch. This is a full-time role that requires somebody on-site five days per week. This truly commercial role will see overall reporting responsibility for one of the group’s key divisions. You will be overseeing project accounting, FP&A and commercial insight (sales, margin and pricing analysis).

As the Commercial Accountant, you’ll be responsible for:

• Profit and loss reporting for the commercial operations team
• FP&A activity, including budget management and cash flow forecasting
• Project accounting, including P&L and profitability reports, and partnering with Project Managers to understand the financial position and suggest improvements
• Sales, margin and pricing analysis to support the business plan
• Acting as a business partner to group finance and group operations
• Ensuring accuracy of balance sheet reporting
• Revenue accounting, including commissions for the sales team, calculation of rebates and discounts

 
This exciting role will require a qualified or nearly-qualified accountant. You’ll need to be a confident business partner, able to influence stakeholders at semi-senior levels, and communicate your business unit’s financial position to the senior finance leadership team.
