Head of Finance

We are currently recruiting for a Head of Finance to join this established and exciting business based in Coventry.

You will be primarily responsible for the financial management, forecasting and planning activities of the business, as well as maintaining control over the processes and financial governance of the business. This role will combine the responsibility for both the transactional finance and the FP&A teams.

• Responsible for the timely preparation & consolidation of financial results and budget & forecast submissions into Group
• Accountable for the production of consolidated monthly management accounts including key balance sheet reconciliations
• Responsible for the production and monitoring of the cash flow required for group reporting
• Responsible for the submission of all statutory returns
• Provide constructive challenge and input into project/contract review meetings to ensure that issues and risks are identified, reported and addressed
• Ensure the transactional finance and FP&A teams work collaboratively to ensure the best possible financial results are realised.
• Responsible for the provision of cash management and forecasting systems, including liaison with banks and assistance with sourcing of Company Finance.
• Support operational management to drive business performance to achieve agreed targets
• Mentor, train and develop the finance team
• Be proactive in identifying indicators that may result in budget variances and liaise with key stakeholders, as appropriate
• Improve systems and controls within the finance function in line with legislative requirements and best practice

The successful candidate will be qualified with proven experience of working within a similar level role.
