Senior Accountant

Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Senior Accountant on behalf of a well-established business based in Walsall on a full-time, permanent basis. Reporting into the Senior Finance Business Partner, your responsibilites will include:

• Playing a key role in the month end close process
• Maintaining and reconciling the balance sheet and general ledger accounts
• Review and reconcile the intercompany accounts
• Preparing financial analysis and reports
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Provide first class business partnering service to support driving business decisions and strategy
• Working with stakeholders on input, review and challenging finance evaluations and reports
• Drive process improvements and efficiency across the finance team
• Supporting the production of the year end accounts and annual audit

The ideal candidate will be newly qualified or coming to the end of their qualification (max 1-2 exams remaining) with strong experience of financial accounting and strong relationship building skills. You must have a high level of attention to detail with the ability to work with large data sets and advanced Excel/data manipulation skills.

The salary on offer is £45-50k dependant on experience and qualification level, plus you will be entitled to hybrid working (3 days a week in the office, 2 from home), 25 days holiday per year plus bank holidays, company pension (6%), on-site employee gym, childcare, cycle to work scheme amongst various other benefits and support schemes.
