Assistant Accountant

Alexander Daniels are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Accountant to join our dynamic client based in Walsall on a full-time, permanent basis. As an Assistant Accountant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of our group of companies. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a strong background in accounting and a passion for data analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting with the preparation of monthly management accounts
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Month end duties to include preparing journals, accruals and prepayments
• Analysing data and producing weekly sales reports
• Producing P&L analysis with variance commentary
• Processing expenses and overseeing the purchase ledger process
• Adhoc tasks and reporting as requested.

The ideal candidate will be AAT Qualified as a minumum, ideally part-qualified ACCA or CIMA or Qualified by experience with advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables and VLOOKUPs, and the ability to present data effectively. You must be diligent with a keen eye for detail and a logical thinker with a proactive problem-solving attitude.
