Alexander Daniels are delighted to be partnering with this ever expanding UK law firm in the appointment of an Interim Finance Director whilst the firm recruit a permanent Finance Director

An award-winning practice and home to some of the best lawyers in their field, this role will support the business whilst they appoint a permanent Finance Director. More than a traditional head of finance role, this role will involve operational leadership. Working closely with the Managing Partners, you will be involved in team management and development, process and system improvement and strategic review.

Interim Finance Directors principal duties will include:

  • Direction of the finance function
  • Presentation of relevant financial information to partners, providing insightful commercial and financial guidance and commentary at board meetings
  • Evaluation of prospective projects to assess resource requirements, profitability and costs
  • Liaise with the firm’s auditors and bank in the preparation of the annual accounts, financial and taxation matters
  • Negotiation with suppliers
  • Operational involvement in expansion plans

The successful Interim Finance Director will have the following skills and experience:

  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified accountant with experience gained in a professional services environment, ideally with a law firm or top 4 practice
  • Available immediately or at short notice
  • Expert technical finance experience comfortable in a fast-paced environment
  • Stakeholder management experience
  • Process improvement and change management experience
  • Strategic with commercial excellence
  • Strong people manager
