Finance Manager

Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Finance Manager on behalf of our dynamic manufacturing client based in Telford on a full-time, permanent basis. As Finance Manager you will be responsible for analysing financial data and providing insights to support the company’s financial decision-making process. You will work closely with departmental managers to ensure the financial success of our manufacturing operation.

Key responsibilities:

• Preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Accruals & prepayments
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• Gross margin analysis
• Cash flow management
• Preparing budgets and forecasts
• Variance analysis
• Accounts preparation up to trial balance
• Producing the year end pack and working with financial auditors
• Weekly and monthly payroll using Sage Payroll
• VAT Returns
• Credit control
• Interaction with internal and external stakeholders
• Other adhoc duties as and when required

The ideal candidate will be part-qualified CIMA/ACCA (or equivalent experience) with previous experience producing management accounts within a manufacturing environment. You must have a practical hands-on approach and be used to working in a fast-moving business environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with other departments / External stakeholders is essential as well as advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Sumifs, Vlookups). Experience using AS400 and/or Sage Payroll would be desirable but by no means essential.
