Job Description

Are you a skilled Management Accountant looking for a challenging role within a dynamic retail organisation?

Alexander Daniels are currently seeking a Management Accountant on behalf of their Walsall-based client on a full-time permanent basis. As a Management Accountant, you will play a crucial role in providing financial insights, supporting business decisions, and improving processes within a large retail organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Business Partnering – collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to produce relevant financial insights
  • Undertake ad hoc analysis as and when required, providing valuable insights to support decision-making
  • Present financial information to non-finance stakeholders in a clear and concise manner
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Month-end & Reporting including preparing month-end journals and reconciliations
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations
  • Generate weekly profit and loss (P&L) reports for management review
  • Collaborate with the team to identify and implement process improvements, streamlining ways of working and enhancing efficiency.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field and/or significant progress towards a professional accounting qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA)
  • Proven experience as a Management Accountant, preferably within the retail industry.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret large financial data sets to provide meaningful insights.
  • Proficiency in financial software and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present financial information to non-finance stakeholders effectively.
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in financial reporting.
