Job Summary:

The Finance Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the finance department by performing a variety of accounting and financial tasks. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining accurate financial records. The Finance Assistant will work closely with the Finance Manager and other team members to ensure the smooth operation of financial processes within the company.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Accounts Payable:

    • Review and process supplier invoices for payment.
    • Ensure accuracy of invoice data, including quantities, prices, and terms.
    • Maintain vendor records and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  2. Accounts Receivable:

    • Generate and send customer invoices.
    • Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices.
    • Process customer payments and reconcile accounts.
  3. Bank Reconciliation:

    • Reconcile bank statements and resolve discrepancies.
    • Record and classify bank transactions accurately.
  4. Expense Reports:

    • Review and process employee expense reports.
    • Verify receipts and ensure compliance with company policies.
  5. Financial Data Entry:

    • Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets.
    • Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records.
  6. General Administrative Support:

    • Provide administrative support to the finance team.
    • Assist with ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:/.

  • Previous experience in finance or accounting is a plus.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and commitment to confidentiality.
