Job Description

Alexander Daniels are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to oversee accounting and financial operations across multiple UK locations. This role will be responsible for managing a small finance team, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting, and providing insightful analysis to support strategic business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the finance teams at two operational sites, ensuring effective day-to-day financial operations.
  • Coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Perform variance analyses and present financial performance insights against budget and forecast targets.
  • Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements in line with both UK and US GAAP, supporting external audits as required.
  • Conduct ad hoc financial analyses to support business planning and strategic initiatives.
  • Develop, implement, and test internal controls in line with local regulatory requirements and internal compliance frameworks, including Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Support annual and quarterly budgeting activities; monitor cash flow and manage working capital.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and business units to identify process improvements and evaluate business cases.
  • Provide leadership, mentoring, and development to finance team members at varying levels of experience.
  • Apply industry best practices to improve financial operations and achieve business objectives.
  • Perform additional finance-related tasks and projects as needed.

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Professionally qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Proven experience working within multinational or complex organizational structures.
  • Strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage stakeholders at various levels.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities; capable of meeting tight deadlines.
  • Commercial awareness and sound understanding of operational and market dynamics.
  • Self-driven and capable of working independently within a matrixed environment.
