Practice Accountant

Alexander Daniels are recruiting for an Accountant to join an independent and rapidly growing accountancy practice in Stourbridge. This fantastic opportunity is the chance to be a part of something special and will enable you to grow with the business.

What you’ll do

• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
• Prepare VAT returns and assist with management accounts
• Reconcile bank transactions and maintain accurate ledgers
• Assist in preparing year-end accounts and tax returns
• Liaise directly with clients to answer queries and provide updates
• Support the team in delivering timely and accurate financial information
• Supporting the business with admin/ad hoc tasks as required

What we’re looking for

• Solid bookkeeping experience (practice background ideal)
• Working knowledge of Xero, Sage, QuickBooks, and software tools such as Hubdoc/Dext
• Understanding of VAT, double-entry bookkeeping, and basic accounts preparation
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Friendly, professional communication skills
• Organised and able to manage your own workload
• Part qualified, AAT qualified or qualified by experience
