Alexander Daniels are working with an established Accountancy Practice who are recruiting for a detail orientated Bookkeeper on a full time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality bookkeeping and financial support to clients, working closely with accountants and client managers.
Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients
Process sales, purchase, and general ledger entries
Bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations
Prepare and submit VAT returns
Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records
Liaise with clients regarding queries and requests for information
Support the preparation of management accounts and year-end accounts
Work collaboratively with other team members to meet deadlines
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar bookkeeping role, preferably within an accountancy practice
Strong working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
Strong communication and client-facing skills
Ability to manage multiple client deadlines effectively
AAT qualification
