Job Description

Alexander Daniels are working with an established Accountancy Practice who are recruiting for a detail orientated Bookkeeper on a full time basis. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in delivering high-quality bookkeeping and financial support to clients, working closely with accountants and client managers.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform day-to-day bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients

  • Process sales, purchase, and general ledger entries

  • Bank reconciliations and credit card reconciliations

  • Prepare and submit VAT returns

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records

  • Liaise with clients regarding queries and requests for information

  • Support the preparation of management accounts and year-end accounts

  • Work collaboratively with other team members to meet deadlines

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar bookkeeping role, preferably within an accountancy practice

  • Strong working knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or similar

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy

  • Strong communication and client-facing skills

  • Ability to manage multiple client deadlines effectively

  • AAT qualification
