Senior Finance Analyst

Alexander Daniels is working with a business located near to Coventry who are looking to recruit a senior finance analyst. You will be commercially minded and ready to take ownership of the Supplier Support Fund. This is a high-impact role where you’ll lead financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and fund allocation to ensure effective and strategic use of resources.

You’ll play a key role in designing and evolving financial monitoring processes, with a strong focus on automation using Power BI. Working cross-functionally, you’ll deliver meaningful insights and collaborate with senior stakeholders to drive informed decision-making.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the financial management of the Supplier Support Fund
• Ensure timely and strategic allocation and utilisation of funds
• Partner with the commercial team on allocation proposals
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis for the fund
• Report on fund performance, utilisation, and ROI
• Analyse data from internal teams including marketing, events, and sales portals
• Create and implement end-to-end processes for fund tracking and reporting
• Set up initial monitoring frameworks with a roadmap for Power BI automation
• Continuously improve reporting through scalable BI solutions
• Present financial insights and updates to senior business leaders
• Work closely with teams to translate business needs into technical reporting requirements

Experience & Skills:

• Proven background in financial management, ideally in fund or project-based environments
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
• Skilled in process design, implementation, and continuous improvement
• Advanced Excel user (formulas, pivot tables, data modelling)
• Proficient with Power BI or similar BI tools
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in reporting
• Confident communicator with experience engaging senior stakeholders
• Qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or QBE with strong relevant experience
• Comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments
• Collaborative and adaptable team player
