Accounts Payable Clerk (Hybrid)

Alexander Daniels have partnered with a dynamic Nottingham based business, who are seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their busy finance team. This hands-on role plays a key part in ensuring supplier transactions and financial processes are accurate and efficient. The position offers a hybrid working model and there are career progression opportunities for the right candidate, though the role would also suit someone who prefers to focus solely on Accounts Payable.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately maintain daily cash book entries and assist with monthly bank reconciliations.

• Process a high volume of supplier invoices (circa 1,000 per month) efficiently and accurately.

• Conduct monthly supplier statement reconciliations and manage aged creditor reports, taking action to resolve historic balances and discrepancies.

• Prepare, coordinate, and execute monthly and ad hoc payment runs.

• Liaise with internal teams to confirm goods receipts and ensure invoices are processed correctly and on time.

• Handle supplier queries in a professional and timely manner.

• Assist with cheque banking and other routine finance administration tasks.

• Proven experience in working within Accounts Payable.

• Strong attention to detail.

• Ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy and compliance.
