Alexander Daniels are recruiting a Finance Manager/Senior Accountant to join a well-established and growing accountancy practice based in Telford. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant looking to take the next step in their career within a supportive firm offering clear progression opportunities.
As Finance Manager/Senior Accountant, you will manage your own portfolio of clients and play a key role in reviewing work and supporting junior team members.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a mixed client portfolio (sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies)
Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts and corporation tax returns
Preparing and reviewing personal tax returns
Assisting clients with VAT returns, bookkeeping, and management accounts
Reviewing work and mentoring junior staff
Building strong client relationships and liaising with HMRC
ACA / ACCA Part qualified/Qualified (or equivalent)
Minimum 4 years’ experience within a UK accountancy practice
Strong technical knowledge of accounts and tax compliance
Experience managing clients and reviewing work
Confident communicator with good organisational skills
