Job Description

Alexander Daniels are working with an established West Midlands-based business who is seeking an Accounts Assistant to join a small, friendly, and dedicated finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their finance career within a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing credit control processes.
  • Creating and reviewing customer accounts.
  • Supporting cashflow forecasting.
  • Assisting with purchase ledger tasks.
  • Preparing supplier payment runs.
  • Releasing orders and processing customer updates.
  • Handling ad hoc reporting requirements when needed.
  • Providing support across other areas of the business as required.

Skills & Experience

  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
  • At least one year of finance experience is preferred.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience with Business Central is an advantage but not essential.
