The Role

We’re looking for an experienced AAT-qualified Accountant to take on a broad and interesting position within the finance team. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives on ownership, accuracy, and getting stuck into everything from month-end reporting to import financials.

Key Responsibilities

You’ll be hands-on with a wide range of duties, including:

• Month-end reporting and producing first-draft management accounts
• Accounts payable & receivable
• Managing the financial aspects of imports (Far East & EU)
• Ensuring VAT and Duty are correctly accounted for
• Supplier payments
• Cash receipts and cashflow
• General ledger maintenance
• Budgeting and forecasting
• Revenue & expenditure variance analysis
• Account reconciliations
• Fixed asset activity
• Debt activity
• Ad-hoc finance tasks
• Conducting credit checks on new customers
• Team management and supporting continuous process improvement
• Liaising with operations as needed

What We’re Looking For

• AAT-qualified (completed)
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a busy finance department
• Excellent computer and communication skills
• Strong organisational ability and impeccable attention to detail
• Confident working under pressure and managing deadlines
• Experience in team management
• Understanding of import/export finance processes (Far East & EU)
• Able to work independently and collaboratively

Hours

• Monday-Thursday: 9:00am – 5:30pm
• Friday: 9:00am – 5:00pm
  This is an office-based position.

Salary

£30,000 – £35,000 (dependent on experience)
